Sara-e-Masroor
In August 2023, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK embarked on another milestone in its history with the acquisition of a 4-bedroom detached property in Elstead, less than 10 minutes’ drive from Islamabad. Under the blessed guidance of Beloved Huzoor (aba), the property was procured for £635,000 for the purpose of serving as a guest house, which Huzoor Aqdas (aba) has graciously named ‘Sara-e-Masroor’.
In order to fund the purchase of this property, Chanda Tamirat has been launched again so that members can come forward with their contribution and be a part of this important milestone. The initial target is to raise £350,000 in the first year.
Chanda Tamirat
In 2005 Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK was able to purchase a property directly in front of Fazl Mosque for £320,000. This was the first such purchase for the UK Majlis in its history and all the funds had to be raised by members of the Majlis. Chanda Tamirat was launched and by the sheer Grace and Blessings of Allah, MKA UK was able to pay for the property in full through this fund-raising campaign.
‘Sarai Khidmat’ as it was named by Beloved Huzoor (aba), proved to be hugely useful for the Majlis over the years and in particular MKA was able to serve Khilafat as Huzoor (aba) regularly directed guests to be accommodated there and regularly inspected the property around the time of the Annual UK Jalsa. Sarai Khidmat was also regularly used to host meetings & functions on an almost daily basis.
Since the establishment of Qasr-e-Khilafat at Islamabad in Tilford, the Majlis has been seeking to purchase a property to fulfil a similar role.

Blessing of Hospitality
Why do we need guesthouse?
The purpose of Sara-e-Masroor is to serve guests who travel from all over the world to come and visit Qasr-e-Khilafat. Members of the MKA UK have the opportunity to follow in the tradition of Prophets in seeking the blessings of hospitality and contribute towards the purchase of Sara-e-Masroor.
In fact, surrounding the year 1889, when the Ahmadiyya Jamaat was established, the Promised Messiah (as) received three peculiar revelations; peculiar because the number of believers and visitors to Qadian was, if anything, very limited. However, these revelations spoke of a grand future. One revelation ordered:
وَسِّعْ مَکَانَکَ
“Enlarge thy abode.” He also received the revelation:
یأْتِیکَ مِنْ کُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِیْقٍ
“People will come to you from every far off distant track. ”
And thirdly, he was told by Allah:
وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ لِخَلْقِ اللّٰہ وَلَا تَسْئَمْ مِنَ النَّاسِ
“Do not act haughtily (turn thy cheek) and do not tire of people.”
At one place Allah says in the Holy Quran [17:27]:
“And give thou to the kinsman his due, and to the poor and the wayfarer, and squander not thy wealth extravagantly.”
Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said:
‘A person who believes in Allah and the Day of Judgement should honour his guests.’
Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II (ra) said:
“Hospitality is a very special trait of the prophets”.
(Al Fazl, 5 January 1918)
As regards hospitality, the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said:
“I always worry that no guest should suffer any kind of pain or difficulty. Indeed I always keep advising and urging that as far as possible the guests should be provided every comfort. The heart of a guest is very fragile like a piece of glass and apt to break upon the slightest rough treatment.”

2. How is this different to Aiwan-e-Mahmood?
Aiwan-e-Mahmood serves as the administrative HQ for MKA UK. Sara-e-Masroor will serve as a guesthouse only.
3. Do other auxiliaries have a guesthouse too?
Yes, it is a long-standing tradition of auxiliaries in the Jama’at to have a guesthouse where they can serve the guests of the Promised Messiah (as).
